Mark graduated from Houghton College in 1971. He worked as a property insurance claims adjuster for 27 years before he retired in 2013. At his home church, First Presbyterian Church of Batavia, Mark served on Session for fifteen years, four as Clerk of Session. He served on the Mission Committee, Worship & Music Committee, and Christian Education Committee. He also served as a Trustee of Presbytery for a total of 13 years. After education and training under the mentorship of Rev. Bob Kaiser, Mark become a Commissioned Pastor in January 2009. He served at the Stone Church Presbyterian Church from 2009-2016 and the Covington United Presbyterian Church from 2020-2021. He has been a Pulpit Supply Preacher since 2016 and served at our church here in Brockport several Sundays from July to December 2021. Mark and his wife Elaine live in Batavia, NY. They have been married for almost 52 years and have two married daughters and four grandchildren.
Connie Kelley-Warner is the Administrative Assistant at FP. Born in Niagara Falls NY, but proud to call Orleans County home for more than 50 years, Connie lives in Albion with her husband David, cat Frankie, and dog Willow. She has two children and five grandchildren, her ‘lovies’ who are the joy of her life. Connie enjoys the variety of duties she has at the church including: answering phone calls, designing bulletins and other print publications, helping with worship, or assisting staff members. Her favorite thing about FPC is working and interacting with the members and guests of the church. In her spare time Connie enjoys long walks with her dog, camping, sewing, and crafting.
Sexton: Brian Ferries
Brian Ferries is the newest person to have the honor of serving as your sexton here at FPC. He is looking forward to the task of following in the footsteps of longtime sexton Roger, and enjoys meeting the warm and friendly congregation. He has a wife Deborah, who is retired from Tops Market and a son Robert, who is pursuing entertainment and stand up comedy in Las Vegas. Brian takes pride in his family and his work here as well as at Brockport School District, where he has been a custodian since 2015. He looks forward to making FPC a most enjoyable and relaxing place for people to worship. Brian has resided in Brockport most of his life, and loves to do projects around church helping out anywhere he can.
